Oshare, which means fashion in Japanese, is the continuation of my fandom sites Tsuki no Uta (2004-2008) and Manga Girls (2002-2004).

Manga Girls, like many other German sites, was born in Beepworld, in April 2002, under the address http://www.beepworld.de/members24/manga_girls/. It was run mostly by Saori, but with casual help of Miyako and Tomoyo (now Saol) -Saori's younger sisters-. Manga Girls, like the title said, was about Shojo Manga and Anime, covering information about girls-oriented AniMa. Some of the favourites where Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Sakura Card Captors, Ranma 1/2, Tokyo Mew Mew and such. Saori moved then to the Dominican Republic, and spend almost half a year without internet - but with computer. So, she started to learn to work with Graphic programs and HTML (working offline). Late 2002, to have more space and more design options, Saori moved the site to Geocities, and the site was found under http://espanol.geocities.com/mg_saori/manga_girls/ or the shorter way, http://www.manga_girls.2xt.de/. The site runned for some time, but feeling limited and wanting to cover not only "manga girls", Saori transformed the site to Tsuki no Uta - a site about Anime, Manga, and J-Music (mostly J-Rock).

Tsuki no Uta started to grow and grow, having reviews and informations about a lot of stuff! And of course, constantly changing its layouts. The address to reach it was. But at some point, I didn't "click" anymore - it had information, games, and others, but Saori felt she was doing it more to get visitors, then to satisfy herself - she had reviews about things she wasn't really fan of, but that made the lists look longer. So, Saori took a big decision - restart Tsuki no Uta. Rewrite the reviews, and only including what she really liked, so that the site became more personal, and she would be happier working on it! And it worked. Once again, from scratch, Tsuki no Uta started to grow! The language was changed to english, and the coding to PHP, which made Saori leave Geocities and move to Funpic. The new address became http://dollface.do.funpic.de/ or the short http://tsukinu.net.ms. And we went on with several more versions. When Saori moved to Costa Rica, in 2007, she left her network to the side for some months. In December of that year, she got a hosting offer of Taliana, at zeehondpunk.com. Tired of all the Funpic advertisement, she, of course, accepted the offer, and started working right away on moving her sites - for the first time - to an unlimited and advertising-free space. Saori worked on a new layout to launch Tsuki no Uta in its new domain, but when she installed it, she realized the PHP she used wasn't compatible with the one of her hoster. After taking some time to learn about the new PHP, she was getting ready for the launch, but she didn't feel right with it.

It was on New Years Eve, around midnight, when Saori was writing in her blog. Suddenly, she had an idea: Oshare. She loved the word, and started to develop a concept around it! She was decided, and the story of Oshare was born! In the first days of January, Tsuki no Uta was put under remodelation, and Saori worked the coming months on her new inspiration.

Oshare

From one day to another, I decided to change Tsuki no Uta and closed the page. After a couple of months offline, Oshare came to the light, having a slightly differente website concept. The first layout featured An Cafe's Takuya.

Eventhough everything started fine, quickly the rest of my network took my time and I stopped updating Oshare. For some months the site was just there, doing nothing... Until I sat down and worked on a complete redesign, bringing also reviews, media and more stuff! That was version two, featuring several Hey! Say! JUMP members, in September 2008.

But then my other sites completely consumed me again, until January 2009, when I put as a goal again to work on Oshare! And I created the third version, featuring Alice Nine. The site worked good, not great, but I started to post here updates of what I was doing in other parts of my network, like graphics in Suppressed Feelings and such. I put Oshare to participate in a few SOTMs and even ended in 2nd and 3rd places in some ^^ But then, personal life made a twist and I had to move to Mexico! So, private life consumed my time, since I had to get papers, and pack my stuff, and say good bye to everyone, and that took a loooong time.

The site stayed quiet for about two months, until in August 2009, I was able to put hand in it again! This time, with Oshare's first not-real-persons design, feauturing a nice Tsukiji Nao artwork! I was very satisfied with my work and had renewed motivation to work hard on Oshare again!

Eventhough in 2010, I started university classes and had a more busy schedule, I didn't wanted to leave Oshare behind! Working on the definition of Oshare (fashion), I've integreated the site more into the East Asian Fashion world! Talking about special discounts, sharing coupons, and showing good buy choices from sites such as YesAsia and AsiaJAM. In March, Oshare received a Roiworld look. For the ones that don't know, Roiworld is a Korea-originated doll dress-up game.

In Summer, my favourite band, Hey! Say! JUMP announced their first album. To celebrate, Oshare received a fitting layout featuring all 10 members, and for the first time, a picture of me was included in the layout.

The site was not very often updated after that, because I spend some time with other friends, and then at a camp, and then I had friends over, and at total, about two months passed! But when I was back, I started getting in touch with what had happened and what was going to come - that's when I started watching the succesfull Korean drama Playful Kiss - which made it to the new header of Oshare! Though my picture was this time featured at Oh Ha Ni's face (but it ended up being a weird mix of me and Oh Ha Ni).

In December, I tried to create a new layout, but I also cought the best cold I had in years, so, the design turned out ugly, incomplete and uninspired. I hated it, so, it didn't come online. In New Year's week, I started to get finally better, and the week after, I started working on a new layout to start the year! It took me quite a lot of time, but finally decided on SuG and started to work on the details. The biggest challenge was organizing and coding, since I wanted everything to fit perfect!

After starting school again, I neglected Oshare a bit! When the summer came closer, I started preparing a nice summer layout, but after starting the redesign, I wasn't able to finish it before leaving on vacations. Poor Oshare was a bit of a mess for most of June and July, but right before August started I got back and finished what I started! A colourful and cheerful layout, full of patterns and girly things, and featuring Kis-my-ft2, who are having their debut this coming August 2011!

Ever since summer, Oshare has been alive, more or less, and we've been active in Site of the Months, and even started our first Giveaway! So, mid-december, Oshare got its winter layout featuring artwork from the korean illustrations Enakei. A simple layout, compared to the previous one, to give a change to the flow of things!
